Burren Nature Sanctuary is a 50-acre organic nature reserve in Kinvara, Co. Galway, dedicated to biodiversity conservation, education, and eco-tourism. The sanctuary features self-guided nature trails, native woodlands, a wildflower meadow, a turlough wetland, farm animals, and a range of interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.

Burren Nature Sanctuary is situated in Cloonasee, Kinvara, Co. Galway, Ireland, H91PTK7, just a five-minute drive from Kinvara village and 30 minutes from Galway City (depending on traffic)
Do I need to book in advance?
It is essential to book in advance, we cannot guarantee availability for walk-ins.
What should I wear when visiting?
Since most of the sanctuary is outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes or runners. The weather can be unpredictable, so it’s best to dress in layers and bring rain gear or sun protection, depending on the season.
Is Burren Nature Sanctuary wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Some of the paths throughout the sanctuary are wheelchair and stroller accessible. We also have accessible facilities, including parking and restrooms, to ensure a comfortable visit for all guests.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are allowed at Burren Nature Sanctuary upon request.

Most visitors spend between one to three hours at the sanctuary.
