Gastronomic escapade: Top 3 restaurants to absolutely try in Galway!

Today, I'm bringing you on a foodie adventure in Galway: fresh and local products guaranteed!

During my stay, I of course discovered the Irish gastronomy. I enjoyed many dishes in various restaurants of the city, I am pleased to give you my top 3 restaurants that I loved.

Top 1: Kai

Kai, otherwise known as "food" in Maori, is a café by day and a casual restaurant by night. In 2011, they opened the door with a simple formula: "high quality, preferably organic or wild-crafted, locally sourced and intelligently cooked". In addition to having an original and warm setting, this restaurant holds the MICHELIN Green Star: Gastronomy and Sustainability. The menu is elaborated with seasonal products, the flavors are fine and varied. The prices are affordable, you can even take dishes to share! Kai is definitely my favorite in Galway.

Top 2: Ard Bia at Nimmos

Ard Bia at Nimmos is one of Galway's most sustainable restaurants, located in one of the city's iconic spaces (Spanish Arch). It offers fresh and local products in a sublime setting, close to the water. The restaurant's motto is: "We believe in having roots in a place while having an identity that transcends the place and is inspired by the world."

Dishes draw influences from all over the Mediterranean and offer bold flavors in a range of textures. It's lively in the evenings, and the staff is attentive and warm. Prices are also affordable for enjoying an exceptional meal.

Top 3: The Quay Street Kitchen

The top 3 ends with a restaurant that I really enjoyed, it's the Quay Street Kitchen, in the Latin Quarter. The lunch and dinner menus cater to all tastes and offer dishes suitable for vegans, vegetarians and celiacs. You'll find Irish dishes and a variety of world flavors with fresh produce at reasonable prices. The restaurant is not very big, but the staff does its best to reduce the waiting time. This is a sign that the food is prepared in the moment.
